Dr. Bob's Bookshelf

This is a collection of books that did not seem to fit elsewhere, but that look interesting.

"Yes, We Have No Neutrons: An Eye-Opening Tour through the Twists and Turns of Bad Science" by A. K. Dewdney.

This book, of course, takes its title from the cold fusion furor of several years ago. It discusses that saga, and several others, perhaps less known today.

"How to Build and Use Electronic Devices Without Fustration, Panic, Mountains of Money, or an Engineering Degree. 2nd Edition" by Hoenig.  NEW !

When I taught analog Electronic Instrumentation I used the 1st edition of this book. I knew it was a winner when someone walked off with my copy Even the new edition is old (1980) and devices have changed and improved a lot, but the simple electrical models for real devices presented in this book have helped me in the analysis of potentiostat response!

I know that this book is out of print, but amazon.com will check out used book stores for you! When I checked, it was listed, but it may not be in stock when you check!
