Dr. Bob's Bookshelf

Passwords are great for security, but who can remember them all?

If you are anything like me, you have tons of passwords and logins. I've used several password 'helpers.' Some have been 'spyware', some have been 'adware', and some have been both. I've been using RoboForm® for a while, and I like it. It remembers passwords and form entries and doesn't serve ads or "phone home" with my browsing history. You can password protect the whole lot with a single password and you can store all your password data on a USB Flash Disk! Much better than letting your browser or a toolbar remember it all for you (or anyone else using your computer!)  RECOMMENDED

Try RoboForm Free You can try it free by downloading a trial copy. It works with Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Netscape 7 (with a 'helper' that is also downloaded.) Get your trial copy by right clicking on the icon to the right and either saving it on your hard disk to install later, or install it immediately. The fully-functional trial copy will remember the passwords and forms for up to thirty sites.

You can also download the Portable Roboform by clicking here.  This is an add-on to the standard Roboform.  It allows you to store your passwords and form data on a USB Flash disk and to use it on any computer with a USB port.  It cleans up after itself so your password information is erased once the USB disk is uninstalled using the "Safely Remove Hardware" feature of WinXP.  RECOMMENDED

Check the RoboForm website for more details!
